Making a Purchase

Making a purchase from HSC Fine Arts Ltd is simple. Just browse our catalogue, and add any items you wish to buy to your shopping cart. After you have completed your selection, click on Checkout and you will be asked for a few essential details that we need to complete your order.

We will email you with confirmation of your order and to confirm the availability of items requested (in rare cases, an item may have been recently sold but not yet labelled as such on our website).

Ways to Pay

We accept payment by personal cheque for UK customers and, of course, by Banker's Draft or cash (which should only be sent by a secure method). Additionally, payment may also be made direct to our bank, the details for which will be made available on request. Credit/debit card payments may be made over the phone (note: items will only be despatched to an address which matches the billing address of any card payment)

Postage and Handling

Normally by Special Delivery Next Day Service in the UK, via insured Airmail (with receipt signature required) to other destinations. Insured delivery is free for all orders over £100 within the UK. All items are despatched immediately upon receipt of cleared funds.

Our indicated prices exclude any customs or duty charges which may also be payable. Where the cost charged to us by a carrier exceeds the amount indicated, we reserve the right to increase our charges so as to match, exactly, the cost charged to us. In such cases all other packing and handling will be provided free of charge. Prior to delivery of an item in undamaged condition, we reserve the right to withdraw our agreement to supply.

Description and Condition

The nature of the items catalogued on our website is such that that they will rarely be in perfect condition and are likely, due to their nature and age, to show signs of wear, natural usage and manufacturing imperfections. Any statement as to the physical nature or condition of an item is given honestly and with appropriate care. Unless otherwise noted, items described in our listings have no significant damage or restoration. However, it can sometimes be difficult to detect whether an item has been ground or polished. We therefore recommend that you always view property personally, especially in the case of items of significant value. Nonetheless, we add the provision that, should you feel a purchase does not comply with our description, and dependent upon your advising us of such within 5 days of receipt, we would accept its return, well packed, insured and in condition received, whereupon the purchase price would be refunded.

No returns will be accepted without prior notification. Return delivery costs will be at your expense.
